OKAY HERE'S THE DIGEST READY SET GO~

This is what happens when you don't post for several weeks. )

Oh. That, and I have this stuck in my head. =DDDD

"Oh My Gosh... His Face Didn't Come Off!"

firefly

So today I rewatched both Hellboy movies with my dad, though it was the first time he had seen them. (In the end all he cared about was that the guy who does Krauss' voice also does Stewie, which is hilarious to think about, but typical of my dad.)

Anyway, at the beginning, I had a vauge idea that for some reason I liked the second one better... And oh my God I like the second one so much better. That is to say, I don't dislike the first one, I just find the second one to be so much more engaging and- may I say it?- endearing. I was looking for the video of Abe and Hellboy singing bad love songs and getting drunk, but I can't find it on Youtube. Also, I've said it once and I'll say it again: Abe/Nuala OTP.

And athough we all know how much I love Abe, I realized that I really like Krauss, too. I think it might just be his woobie-ness and his I-Need-A-Hug-Because-My-Wife-Died-And-Now-I'm-Not-Solid-Anymore angst, but... He's really cute, with his accent, and beating up Hellboy like, 'na na na na na~" And even in the end when he quits with everyone else, he's just so great. "You can suck my ectoplasmic Schwanzstücke!"

Also, one last thing. Why is it that when Raiden jumps and spins around with his flowing blonde hair and his shiny sword, we think he's ridiculous, and when Prince Nuada does it, it's cool? Just think about that.

Spock!

Okay. So we know the Dollhouse finale made my brain short out in huge, sporadic bursts. Star Trek? Imagine two hours and six minutes of nearly uncontrollable squee. Like rapid-fire fangiggles. I was literally stuffing my fist down my throat to keep from giggling. And here is why:

If I were Spock, I would say that staying up late to write this is illogical. But then again, *fangirling* is illogical, my pointy-eared friend. )

So... To be honest, I think that was the first movie I've ever watched that every time I sort of snapped out of it a little, all that was going through my head was, "This is so awesoooooome..." That, and giggling. Have I mentioned the gigglefest that I had on the way home? Because there was one. And just so much giggling. I think it's in my top five favorite movies, with Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, the Harry Potter movies, and Pride and Prejudice. (Though Finding Nemo is pretty high up there too.)

All in all, Spock has moved up to #5 on the List. Really. He beat out Diego and Remus. Just barely, but he did. I know, I know. "Are you out of your Vulcan mind?"

I'm skipping the intro, and going straight to the biggest fangiggle I've had in months. About five minutes ago, I found out who was cast as the caterpillar in the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland. Ready?

ALAN FRICKING RICKMAN. AS THE GORRAM CATERPILLAR. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR FIVE SECONDS. OMFGASDFGHJKL; TIM BURTON STOP BEING SO AMAZING ARGH AASDFGHJKLJHGFDSDFGHJKLKJHGFDFGH~

*sigh* Ok. So, Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter, this I knew. Helena Bonham Carter is the Red Queen; I would only assume she was in it. And then you know who is the White Queen is? Anne Hathaway. That was sort of a surprise; I'm glad, though. I like her alot, and she hasn't been in anything that great recently. SO. I just wondered... Is Alan maybe becoming a part of the Tim Burton crowd? OOOOOOOH THAT WOULD BE SO GREAT~

BUGMAN!ALAN ON CRACK!

So. *giggle* Ok, I'm good now. Anyway, while I'm on the topic of Tim Burton, I finally saw Sweeny Todd. At Kenny's house, actually, at the end of Christmas vacation. Surprisingly, I didn't geek out as much as I thought I would: only during Alan's two singing bits. I mean, I didn't dislike it by any means. I guess Alan was just so evil, and creepy rather than snarky. Come on, he was creepy, and totally sketchy/stalker-like/child-molester. BUT I did love By the Sea; I couldn't help but think of the [info]buttfacemakani pic with Bella and Voldie... Also, we told Erica that NPH played Toby once, and so she kept screaming that he was going to die, and freaking out every time he showed up, and we were just like, "THAT'S NOT NPH, DEARIE." Also, Borat makes me laugh. Now back to the Misadventures of Sev and Wally!

Newsflash! Snape wants to be the pope!

Really. But anyway, my mum has since finished it. I did read this one little part where Waleran came up with this battle plan, and William was all, "YEAH, LET'S GO SLAUGHTER SOME PEOPLE!" and Wally was just like, "Erm... You can... You know... Go without me. Please." Oh, also? I did find a bit that mentioned how he hardly eats anything. And I'm like, 'Heh. I knew that was totally in-character.' But he really was evil, whereas Sev is not, so you know.  He ended up having something to do with this plot that killed some guy, and something about dethroning the king, and apparently it was really easy to guess what it was.

You know what kind of drove me nuts, though? The way this guy writes dialogue is weird. It's like it goes, "Waleran said: 'Wow, why am I a snarky, evil bishop and not a snarky, not-really-evil professor?'" It's really funky with the colon and all.

I've since added a cut for all the other stuff, since it was too long and annoying. Still, there are Hellboy spoilers. )

I've been singing Sound of Music, like, a ton. Do you think we could give Snape a guitar and make him sing Eidelweiss? We already know from Sweeny that he can sing... (XDDDDDDDDD SORRY: THIS IS HOW I THINK~)

I've added House and Dr. Chase to my List, because, you know, they're cool. They aren't very high up, but still.

You know you're turning into Echo's little sister when people from the Constitutional Convention are showing up on your List. I was studying for my history midterm, and I found this blurb about James Madison. Basically, he was like a little shoebox!Remus. You know, he was always reading, and he was sort of quiet and cute and good at being the research-guy and... Well, Remus-y. I can just see it: "Um... Mr. Washington, sir? I was reading last night, and I found this really interesting chapter about Ancient Rome, and it gave me a good idea, but it might not be so good, I'm not sure-" And Ben Franklin all, "Out with it, boy!" "Right! Yes, so I was thinking..." Hee. <3

On the same page, I was still studying in art, and I was talking about this one thing with my friend Emily. Basically, during the war between France and Britain, this guy called Citizen Genet was stirring up the Americans to join the French. And Washington was all, "Hey, we're not getting involved here." So Genet set up this whole meeting and basically dumped on Washington. Emily said, "So he said to Washington, 'So go away, or we shall be forced to taunt you a second time!'"

Of course, Mr. Hanchett noted that Genet was then "forcibly removed from the country" which Ellie translated to "drop-kicked across the pond."

I want to point something out here. Trauma Center? Back when we were playing it at the Fantastic Five sleepover, we looked up some sprites and were horrified to see the similarities between our/my favorite Kassal brother and a certain lavender-suited defense attorney...

That is frightening.

I'll be back later with some updates on the Snapecast episode that I've only just started listening to, and also the dress picture. Hopefully I won't keep waiting so long to do these posts, so I can make them shorter and more manageable!

I've since added a cut for all the other stuff, since it was too long and annoying. Still, there are Hellboy spoilers. )

Snaaaape~!
Reasons Be Buffy Spoilers~ )

Ok. So. This is a new development, and by new development I mean a new character who makes my inner fangirl do spastic cartwheels of glee (only the inner fangirl, though, because the outer one would probably break its neck.) Therefore, I ought to publicize The List, and by publicize I mean show [info]stella_muse</lj> and possible Erika. (Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be adding the pictures, but let it be known that I do have them.) (Oh, and also, most are fictional, but there are a few actors. 45. Wall-E (HE'S A ROBOT, BUT HE'S STILL REALLY CUTE, OKAY?)
Soooo... I should go on about how they would all hang out, but I'll do that later. I just think it would be... Interesting. Veeeery interesting.

(Oh, and BTW? I got Elise to read Havemercy. YAY! She likes Balfour too, but I haven't gotten all the feedback because we had a History test today. And now Erika is reading it. Cripes, we'll have the whole group read it! =DDDDDDDDDD But also, I'm getting my own copy for Christmas, because, you know, I can't keep passing aroung Echo's... Heh...)

I Was Daring Today

  • Dec. 8th, 2008 at 4:34 PM
Halloween!Giles

I stayed home from school, even though I wasn't sick.

...

Ok, so I wasn't so daring. I did homework most of the day. But enough of this.

MY FANDOM HAD BEEN TURNED UPSIDE DOWN.

Mostly, at least.

There's no place I would be, since I found Serenity... [MAJOR SPOILERS AAAAAAUGH DON'T LOOK ERIKA THAT MEANS YOU] )

Now. Buffy. Wow. I say this because, although the show does catch my interest and I do like it... GILES GILES GILES GILES OMGGGGGG... He... He, like, is what the core of the List is. He's a somewhat magical, snarky, British professor. You'll find I have many British professors: Snape, Giles, Remus, Layton... And, well, if they aren't professors, they're lawyers or doctors, BUT ANYWAY~ He's just sooooo cute. With Remus' 'awww' factor, and Sev's snark (though it's usually lovingly meant,) and Layton's tendency to be on top of things, and Hatori's cynicism, and Miles' caring coolness, and Abe's awkwardness, and dude, do I have a point here? Oh, and he has a crappy car like Gumshoe. *I sense a usurpation in the List...* So cuuuuuuuuuute.... I mean, he even makes just eating an apple look cute. All, "Munch, munch, munch." (May I point out? Giles training Buffy in the library with the sparring pads = Remus training Harry with the Patronus. JUST SAYING.) So cute, so cute, so cute... He's shot up to #6, to be specific.

SO WHAT ELSE...

Oh. And among all of this, I'm on a bit of a House kick, which I've decidedly added to my list of fandoms. (Thank you, mum.) Dr. Wilson is still so on my List, and Echo's sister would be madly in love with Dr. Chase. SPEAKING OF WHICH... I watched the bloopers for Season 2 while I was at it, and MY GOD, after four times already I can't stop laughing. My favorite is how House calls Dr. Chase an "Antipodean fleck of bum fluff!"

Antipodean fleck of bum fluff.

You're A Mean One, Mr. Snape

  • Dec. 3rd, 2008 at 3:32 PM
HOOOOOOUSE~

No, really. I mean, at least it was about thirty seconds or so of watching The Grinch before I thought that, so I have SOME hope, right? Right? Ugh... *I found a neat vid on Youtube, though. He had a really great "seasick crocodile" face, as well as plenty of raised-eyebrows looks, all "What did you just call me? Is that even a word?"

I'm wholly pleased with all the people I've scarred with the previous post. XD

I went to a hockey game last weekend, and I kept hearing snippets of conversation from these two guys behind us. One such snippet went, "Your Honor? Um... The first witness I'd like to the stand is - uh - a penguin?"

I NEED TO GET TYLER TO PLAY PROFESSOR LAYTON!

I NEED TO GET D TO WATCH STARDUST!

I NEED TO GET ERIKA TO READ HAVEMERCY!

I was in Psych, and we're talking about mental disorders and stuff. Oh, and BTW? "If a friend calls you neurotic, then you should not say thank you! if your friend calls you psychotic... You should punch them in the face." ANYWAY, so Mr. Mintz is like, "So how do you classify mental disorders? What can you say about those people?" And Steven says, "Uh... Abby- something." XD And then, later, "Okay. So, before they had mental hospitals, what did they do?" And again Steven says immediately, "SHE'S A WITCH! BUUURN 'ER!"

"And it's not my nose, it's a false one!" "BUUUUUURN 'ER ANYWAY!"

Ok, so there's this teacher in the Upper House (who I'm pretty sure is in the English department) and the joke is that he looks like an unattractive Alan Rickman. *I know, I can't picture that either.* But I described him as "If Alan was, you know, a regular old guy and not hot." So yeah, so I'm in B Lunch so I sometimes see him around, and yesterday I actually heard him say something, which, he doesn't, usually. I should not have been so surprised by his lack of a British accent. D=

I brought in cookies for some friends. I saved one for Ms. Beekley, but I eated it.

OKAY TGIO PARTY - I NEED TO WATCH (in order of how important, I think:)

- Objects In Space/ Serenity
- Hitchicker's Guide to the Galaxy (For Echo, who has ashamedly never seen it. I would have thought it would be her bible.)
- Hellboy II
- Haruhi or Ouran; the latter, I think.
- Buffy?

I dunno. That's still alot of stuff. I also want to read Breaking Dawn, just because I've heard that it's a total acid trip.

In addition to that, as if I needed more, I've started watching House with my mum. First off, Hugh Laurie is awesome. Second, I had remembered Robert Sean Leonard from Dead Poet's Society, and so now I've added Dr. Wilson to the List because they are, of course, one and the same. SERIOUSLY, THOUGH. They took ickle!DPS!Neil and stuck his head on a man body and said, "Voila! More hot doctors!" He is very cute, though. He had boyish charm. XD

Do you know who else has boyish charm? Anderson Cooper. He's on the top of my mum's List, aside from, you know, like, her boyfriend. She even squees a little bit when he's on tv, and she's soooo happy that he's doing some 60 Minutes now. He was on with Michael Phelps, actually, and they had a race. Like, in the pool? I think we all know where this is going, and I can only imagine how many brain cells my mum lost when she saw him in those cute little swimming trunks. He, in addition to Neil/Dr. Wilson, is very cute (and buff! He's like, sort of a small guy, but he is ripped! XDDDD) I sort of added him too.

Today, my French teacher made the funniest noise, just because it was just like the one my dad makes when he's frustrated. It's like "AH, crap." But with only the "AHHHHHHHHHHK." He seemed a little embarrassed, and he looked around, all, "Crap, did anyone hear me do that?"

Also today, Ms. Beekley was going over The Catcher In the Rye, and she got into a small dispute with someone. "Why is the Doberman important?" she asks. And this kid replies, "Because it was Jane's dog, and that's how she met Holden; it was pooping in his yard." And she says, like it's the most important thing in the world, "It didn't poop!" "Didn't it?" "IT PEEEEEEEEEEED!"

I swear to God.

I wish I hadn't laughed so hard.

Two New Fandoms SQUEEEE!

  • Sep. 28th, 2008 at 6:15 PM
Snaaaape~!

Wow. Ok, so, first Professor Layton. This is the greatest game ever, except the puzzles are too hard. Or maybe I'm just stupid. But really, I could do all the ones with the mazes, and the "Get the ball in the hole" ones, and the pitchers and stuff, but the math ones were just ridiculous. It got to the point where I would go up to my mum and be like, "Ok, you have three red cats and four black cats-" "Don't ask; I don't know." So...

No spoilers are the key to success! )

OK. So that's all the PL for now. IN THE MEANTIME I WATCHED THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF FIREFLY AND WOW>

I don't have anything witty for this, but Firefly is still sooooo cool. )

Aaaand... That's all I have right now. More later, I guess, but now I have to do my homework. *Do you think Professor Layton could count for math homework?* I might run it by my teacher. XD

OH, OH> LAYTON'S FIRST NAME IS HERSHEL. HOW FREAKING CUTE IS THAT?
