"Oh My Gosh... His Face Didn't Come Off!"

firefly

So today I rewatched both Hellboy movies with my dad, though it was the first time he had seen them. (In the end all he cared about was that the guy who does Krauss' voice also does Stewie, which is hilarious to think about, but typical of my dad.)

Anyway, at the beginning, I had a vauge idea that for some reason I liked the second one better... And oh my God I like the second one so much better. That is to say, I don't dislike the first one, I just find the second one to be so much more engaging and- may I say it?- endearing. I was looking for the video of Abe and Hellboy singing bad love songs and getting drunk, but I can't find it on Youtube. Also, I've said it once and I'll say it again: Abe/Nuala OTP.

And athough we all know how much I love Abe, I realized that I really like Krauss, too. I think it might just be his woobie-ness and his I-Need-A-Hug-Because-My-Wife-Died-And-Now-I'm-Not-Solid-Anymore angst, but... He's really cute, with his accent, and beating up Hellboy like, 'na na na na na~" And even in the end when he quits with everyone else, he's just so great. "You can suck my ectoplasmic Schwanzstücke!"

Also, one last thing. Why is it that when Raiden jumps and spins around with his flowing blonde hair and his shiny sword, we think he's ridiculous, and when Prince Nuada does it, it's cool? Just think about that.

An... apprentice? )

"Why I Oughtta..."

SLAAAADE

This is why I like being at my dad's without Andrew. We get to do a whole mess of awesome things.

So basically, we watched Silent Hill, and then yesterday I saw the Hellboy 2 disc in the computer room, and I was all, "Oh, we should watch that" because *psht* it's Hellboy, geez. But he hadn't seen the first one, apparently, and he didn't have it, but George did, so we went to call him up. So we basically went on a joint shopping trip to Best Buy, because I guess he needed to get one of those fancy calculators for Caroline, and while we were there... :3 Well we also picked up the Dollhouse DVD and PROFESSOR LAYTON 2, OH WHAT NOW~

I know Echo's copy has a waiting list, so I figured I would get my own and not plug up the works with my procrastination. I'M SO PUMPED.

Phoenix Wright spoilers ahead! Abbey, this applies to pretty much you. )

A word to the wise: PLAY THE PHOENIX WRIGHT GAMES IN ORDER.

Anyway, I noticed something interesting. When talking to each other, half the things that come out of either George's or my dad's mouth are quotes from something, or some kind of fandom reference. They pretty much share the same fandoms, because if George finds something awesome, he shows it to my dad, and my dad thinks it's awesome, and vice versa. They've been best friends since elementary school, and met through some fandom-related happenstance. When they were younger they totally invaded each others houses and played whichever video game the other one didn't have, particularly some game called Arctic Fox that I'm most certainly not connecting to a Shadow Moses thing at all, and in that way trying to compare the two of them with Echo and I and what what are you talking about.

So we went over their house and Caroline had a friend over, who was apparently a Harry Potter fan. I always ask, "Who is your favorite character?" because that's how you determine what kind of HP fan a person is. Nearly everyone at camp was like, "Oh, I love Ron!" or "Hermione's really awesome!" Julia kind of shrugged and was like, "Well, I really like Remus Lupin..." And I gave her a giant high five and giggled like a maniac. Of course then she goes, "But sometimes I can't decide. I really like Snape too..." And then I couldn't give her a high five because I had passed out.

So she was a really big Owl City fan too, (Echo's already seen it, but here's their music video for Fireflies, which is the best song ever) and it seems that they're playing in Boston on the 18th. I don't know if I can go, but it would still be cool. =DDD

Apparently George has seen Silent Hill, and he was at a loss as to how I didn't find it the most frightening thing ever. So I explained the game parallels, and what they did, and at which parts I giggles, while George left is mouth open in awe, and his wife looked on disapprovingly. :3 He says, "But what about when the Pyramid guy ripped that lady's skin off!?" I said, "LOL  PYRAMIDHEAD DEFIES THE LAWS OF PHYSIOLOGY!" And then we started talking about Phantasmagoria, and don't get me started on that.

So we ordered Chinese food omnomnom and went downstairs to play old Three Stooges video games. Also, George proudly displayed his original Legend of Zelda game pack, and I was impressed as usual. (I mean, his house is like a video game museum or something; it's freaking awesome.) Also he has an old record player that's just amazing and gorgeous, and if I ever win the lottery I am going to find one somewhere and buy it.

After that, we watched this comedian act that was pretty funny, even though I fell asleep, per the usual. :3

So anyway, I finished up a bunch of my homework, so I can watch Hellboy with my dad and play PROFESSOR LAYTON OMG. I've started it, but only through the first few puzzles. But awww, emo!Layton, with his hat over his eyes and aw Layton do you need a Luke!hug~~~?

Edit: This is what happens when we visit George. I end up with loads and loads of tags. X3

MOAR SNAEPKIDZ

  • Jun. 4th, 2009 at 5:40 PM
colbert_sigh

Although, Snapekid was hanging out with this other kid who [info]chevy_the_geek  swears is just like Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins, so I'm on the lookout for Loochkid as well. =DDD

Seriously, like, EVERYONE I KNOW has been telling me that they've seen him around, and for God's sakes, I've been seeing him *everywhere*. He's here and there like NEEYOOM NEEYOOM NEEYOOM. (Maybe he Apparates?) )

SO. On another note, (actually there are three more notes,) I first have a Silent Hill tidbit. Chevy recently had a dream in which PyramidHead was on Oprah for a makeover. Apparently he used to be a doctor in a really crumby area, and all the doctors made fun of him, and since it was in a rough part of town, he had to wear a bullet-proof helmet, so he pulled it all the way over his head and became PH. Also, his name is Drew. And he likes to wear Hawaiian shirts. I am now going to draw this.

Next, PROFESSOR LAYTON 2 TRAILER ASDFGHJKL;OMGOMGOMGOMGASDFGHJKL:frjjfjrsgrgjaargnho'ipriw- I first noticed the 'alcohol references' in the warnings label, and I have to wonder, "IS LAYTON SPIKING HIS TEA?" Also swooooord fiiiiights asdfghjkl; OMG ahhhhheeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! <3333333333333 fdghjguiutllygiutgfghjm~

Lastly,[info]khoany stood up in English today when the topic of China was brought up, and she said, "BTW, guys? We are all going to get diarrhea. Definitely. But, it's going to be the best damn diarrhea we've ever had." To which I immediately responded, "Ain't it just!" Needless to say, we were both the only ones laughing hysterically.

This Is Not An Emo Post

tohru_hearts

On the contrary, this is basically to offset my October emo post, or February, or whenever it was. At the awards ceremony I got a ''spirit" award in Bio (which I really don't care about because I hate that class) and "effort and achievement" in History. That's what's really meaningful, I think. It's like all that hard work I put into this year finally paid off. It's like someone noticed.

And then the list for Peer Leaders was posted, and it sort of reminded me of those movies where they have a cheerleading tryout, and there are literally two hundred people (really, literally) all crouding around and random girls bursting into tears because they didn't get chosen... But I did. I think it was the essay, how I was stressing the fact that I'm socially flexible (i.e. "I can pick out the perfect prom dress while naming off every planet ever to appear in a Star Wars film.") and will pay attention to the shy kids and help everyone become socially adjusted... But yeah.

Basically, all year I've felt like I have all these brillant friends who are smarter, funnier, and more successful than I am. But I guess now that I've been recognized, I feel like I'm worth something too. Like I'm important in my own right... SELF-CONFIDENCE BOOST OH YEAH~

So! I wanted to post that before I go off today. It's going to be aweeeeesoooooomeeee~

Ms. Layton is now ready to leave. )

Anime Boston is Tomorrowww~

Okay, so only a few more stitches and Layton's hat is done! I decided to make one on my own, since the one I had already was alright, but not great. Oh, and I also need to get some thick red ribbon for a hat band. Though, something tells me I'm going to gave to dig out some red cloth and the sewing machine. D= I also need to hem the back of my *waistcoat* since, you know, je suis petite. Aside from that, though... WARP 10! ENGAGE! =DDDD

I have teacher stories, and I'll make them quick. Beekley both verbally wished Matteo had gotten a pen in the eye, and said with the biggest grimace I have ever seen, "I'm always crying on the inside." And that's not taken out of context! XDDD Though, BTW, did you know I had a dream where Mr. Quadros was wearing my Star Trek shirt? ...And then I forgot my homework. -_-; (And by the way, I went to this award ceremony last night, and I thought I might get an award in English, but then [info]chevy_the_geek  reminded me that Beekley is the only teacher who doesn't give out awards. GRUMBLE GRUMBLE GRUMBLE.)

On a note that's 9000 times better, [info]khoany is watching Firefly! She came to tell our little group in the morning, and we all started screaming and jumping up and down. No news on favorite characters and the like, but I know it's so hard to choose anyway.... <333 She's also going to Anime Boston, which is a wonderful and amazing surprise, though it did lead me to wondering what was up with the Vocaloid fandom.[info]zarla had talked about it, and so when I heard KH's friends were cosplaying as some of those peeps, I had to go do some research/ actually ask Zarla. It turns out that almost everything about the fandom is just that:: fan-made. And I'm thinking, suh-weet!

Also, she said she was going to cosplay as a giant green dinosaur. And I'm thinking, Titans!dino? Which, of course, I can't remember what episode it's from but~

ISA BEEN HAVIN SUM POKEMANZ BATTULZ. No really. Amanda had an Action Replay, so... You know, that's awesome. I think I've accumulated all of my Pokemanz games into one spot for the first time, though. Well, I know my brother has a Leaf Green somewhere buuuuut... *giggle* Oh, God, I'm so hopeless. XDDD

Over the Week...

neil_hugs

I sort of lost my two-day Wolverine kick, but all-in-all... Memory wipes make everything better. Lumberjack!Logan is frigging adorable. Gambit is amazing, and is now in the lower bit of my List, and [info]lyricalecho 's little sister would be madly in love with him. Ickle!Scott is adorable. As for "Huge Assman," it's not: I saw quite clearly. Emma is awesome. And did I mention how adorable happy!Logan is?

Exit 51 this past week was spent stalking Snapekid, mostly. He has a cool phone, and as Echo says, "He has such pretty eeeeeyessss~"

George bought a Spock action figure for me. ^.^ Actually, he moved up to #2 on my List, which is first for all intensive purposes. <333 And to be honest, I'm still sort of obsessed. In fact, I've never had any kind of desire to share any of my sci-fi/superhero fandoms with Mum, since she's not really into that, but I REALLY want her to see Star Trek. It's just so awesooooome~ (And also, I'm compelled to write Spock/Uhura fic. Is that a bad thing?) I have to draw something as a thank you note for George, I think.

I've been spamming my brain with Ouran, and it's sort of amazing. Was it Echo who described it as "G-rated prostitution"? It is, but I swear it's the fluffiest thing in the world. It's like fluff on crack, but without all the nasty  side effects. It is fanservice incarnate. XDDD So far, I think the beach episode is my favorite, or the one where they go to Haruhi's house. (Her dad is such a weirdo! *awwww*) Kyoya is on my List, somewhere in the high twenties, low thirties, I think. He can be such a jerk sometimes, but he's wonderful, really. Also, Honey = Momiji³. He's insanely cute, and I do love Mori. The Twins remind me sooo much of Fred and George, though their little angst story is incredibly sweet. And then there's Tamaki. XDDDD He's grown on me more and more, and he's just so gimmerously foppish...really need to watch the rest of the outtakes. ("That's a bad idea, Honey.")

So, Anime Boston is next weekend. (omg omg omg omg...) Genderbender!Layton is almost finished, so I think I can pull it off. I just need a top hat, but I'm going to go look for one today. I think there's a costume shop up near the Northshore Mall, so I'll go check that out. All phasers are locked!

EDIT: Dollhouse is RENEWED OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG (*implodes*)

AGGRESSIVE SELF-ESTEEM

  • Mar. 9th, 2009 at 5:47 PM
POKEMANZ

They didn't let us out of school today. Thank you, Mr./Ms. Superintendent, you are of no help to me.

I ate a cookie for breakfast. Bah. Actually, that led [info]lyricalecho to say that sometimes I'm like a grown woman, trapped inside a teeny-tiny teenage body. I'm still not sure if I should have laughed or punched her in the face. (NOOOO OF COURSE I DON'T WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE)

I love how I went to the mall and picked out this really cute, bright green trenchcoat-y type thing, thinking, "Oh! It's warm; it must be spring! I'm going to need something lightweight and spring-y like this!" And now there's, like, a foot of snow on the ground.

Speaking of that shopping trip, I found the Snape!dress for almost a hundred dollars less than when I saw it in January. Unfortunately, there was only a size six and a size eight left, which on me, is like... Well, like not wearing it at all, I guess. I took a picture, though! Thing is, I can't quite get it from my phone to my computer, due to a sad lack of Thingy-Ma-Jiggies That I Don't Understand. I'll work on that, promise.

Speaking of Snape (to the roaring groan of Many...) I was poking around deviantart the other day and there was this one comic (by gilll, I believe) and I could not stop laughing at this one panel.

When it comes to alcohol, Snape is quite comfortable with elf-made wine. Firewhiskey... Not so much. )

Lastly, I'd like to point out that I think I'm turning into Echo's little sister. I was out to dinner at Legal Seafood (which I lurrrrve) and the waiter guy was so cute I couldn't stand it. Like, Simon with glasses, with the proper and the mildly peppy... Or maybe Layton, now that I think. Oh! Except like Oz! 'Cause I was on my way out and I walked by him, and he wasn't much taller than I was. I mean, Oz is about 5'4", right? Eeeeeee~ <3

OH I FORGOT. [info]stella_muse YOU ARE PLAYING PROFESSOR LAYTOOOOOOON~ YOU ARE SO AWESOOOOOOOME~ THANK YOOOOOU~

Argh. I have to write an abstract for history, and unless my LJ is concerned with the social and economic effects on twentieth century fishing schooners on Gloucester and the country as wel know it... Well, I g2g. XD

New Year's Misc.

  • Jan. 6th, 2009 at 4:48 PM
neil_hugs

Ok. First post of the new year! Also, there is a Snow Day! Whooo!!!1! So, you know, I can actually finish this after [not] working on this for two days. Lots of things to say! Or... Remarkably less than I thought.

Buffy Spoilers Here~ )

So what else? We had a Fantastic Four sleepover (by which I mean me, Echo, and our two friends from days of yore.) Stayed up 'till five, but I passed out at four. There was some Trace Memory-age, too (along with some Bill jokes.)

Which brings me to this: Mystery/adventure games for the DS are highly underrated. The DS has spawned some of my favorite games. Phoenix Wright, of course, and the ever-lovely-and-thrilling-and-cute-and-plot-twist-y Trace Memory. Hotel Dusk: Room 213 was like some wonderful film noir (though I think Echo still has my copy?) and then, dear Professor Layton, of course. I do love my DS.

Speaking of PL, I saw the Final Time Journey trailer and WHOA LAYTON IN A SWORDFIGHT WHY SO AWESOME? And Luke jumping on the couch, and Layton and his tea and WHEN DOES THE SECOND ONE COME OUT, GORRAMIT? In other PL news, there's supposed to be a PL movie in the works. It sounds fabulous, and then I hear it's live action. Why would you want live action when you have such beautiful European-like artwork to work with? *sigh* At least they can make Layton hot... *no one said that*

Also, I forgot to mention another DS game. Trauma Center, anyone? [info]zarla should be so pleased with herself, what with having her Broken Glass Mix being sung by Echo and I over and over. (It can be found here, BTW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBlukUptk18) "And there's no reason why, when you cut people open, they're all funky colors, all inside, all color-coded, OH YEAH!

Also interesting is how (we were playing UtK2) the big bad guys is like a little von Karma, what with the "von," and his rant about "natural selection" and "the perfect human" and being the crappiest father ever. And the organization? Apparently we could have another one: B.U.M.M.E.R. (Was this funnier at three o'clock in the morning?) Yeah, it was. Although, when you have to use your tools to get out of the cell? Kaylee, I think it was, was all, "Hey, why don't we just use the laser to blast out of here?" And Echo stops and thinks, and says, "Well it's more of a delicate laser." "Yeah," I say, "because you wouldn't be blasting people's organs with massive lasers." Kristen nods and says, "Yeah. So it's more of and 'ow' laser." To which we then pictured Chase, all "HEY DEREK" *zap* "CHASE, CUT THAT OUT!" *bzzt*

Then there was some joke about Erika's friend accidentally snorting bath soap up her nose...

Hey, here's something. iTunes is a moron. I'm not talking about this pricing thing; I mean the updated software. It's obviously geared toward people who buy entire albums, rather than those who just buy a song here or there. I'm one of the latter. So, where as before I could have all my songs in alphabetical order, now it can only be organized by album or artist, so that my Library looks like someone ate it, didn't like the weird mix of flavors, and then barfed it back onto my screen. It bums me out.

I had this dream last night, and I swear- God strike me down if I'm lying- Snape was on a unicorn. Swear to God. I just remember... He was kinda like, "Eh?" And I was kinda like, "Eh!?" But yeah, I also had a dream where the Tiny Titans were crewing Serenity, and I guess the Alliance caught us, and everyone was all hiding and fighting, and there was some Salem museum thing going on, and I was all, "hey, I know where that is!" even though I was in the mindset of my main OC, and there was some secret attic with a secret trunk, and there were disguises and secret passageways; and then there was the museum and Giles was there and there was lots of beige marble and dinosaurs? And then I went back to sleep and there was this dream with SSBros. but there were loads of playable characters, and I was kinda inside, and Raven was there, and then there were some aliens and they were making a movie? But then they made me play this game that was kinda like Tetris but with fruit? And I was ok at it, but then Snape showed up and was better, and that was the unicorn part, and there was something about this desktop background I'm working on and I was all, "Oh, that looks good!" And then... Um... I think I woke up again.

OH. Maybe the museum thing was in the dream I had night before last. 'Cause that one also had Snape briefly, but it was mainly Star Trek TNG characters, but they were cowboys, and someone was chasing me, and I was all, "HALP, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!" And they were all, "Hey, how do you know us!" And then there was something about a wagon and going over jumps and it was nighttime and there were torches, and...

Ironically, I've done virtually no fandoming for a few days prior to these.

Ok, so New Year's Days I watched two movies. First, I watched Stardust with my mum, which I never realized was so long! It's like, almost three hours! But that really is a wonderful movie, with Arthur!Goat and stuff. He was my Mum's favorite character I guess, which was funny; but she liked Shakespeare too, all, "I was thinking, 'waxing poet!' and my men are thinking 'SHAKE! SPEAR!' I love things like that." Also she liked the ghosts, but how can you not? Eee, and I don't think I need to reiterate how much I like Septimus.

Later, we ended up watching Wall E. God, I love this movie. Out of all the Pixar films, it's really between this one and Finding Nemo, even if I really do like Toy Story (which, BTW, Echo pointed out that Joss did the screenplay! =DDDDDDD) But yeah, it was just soooo cute, and... Very artfully done. Of course, no matter how deep and artsy, it's still Disney. So my mum points out, "But, if they can't even get out of their chairs, why did I see a bunch a babies sitting around?" "Because it's Disney, mum. The stork brought them." But anyway, I just love Wall E and all his little treasures, and Eve being all "Uuuuh?" and then Wall E being all dorky in space, and Mo. How can you not love Mo?

So... I think that's it. I'll have a post in a couple of days for a certain event... :3

EDIT: Hey, I was on [info]professorlayton</lj> and found this amazing lot of PL art. WHY IS THIS FANDOM SO CUTE!? http://community.livejournal.com/professorlayton/116419.html
Snaaaape~!

Looking back, I thought I had alot more things I wanted to talk about, but that's okay.

So first off, I was watching James and the Giant Peach with my mum the other night, what with it being on TV and all. Cripes. I hadn't watched that since I had it on VHS. V. H. S. (I may know all about these newfangled iPods and such, but technology can certainly make anyone feel a little old, even if they aren't.)

But anyway, I remembered a lot more of it than I would have thought; you know, but I totally wasn't humming along with any of the songs or anything like that. I swear. However, I did remember quite vividly that I liked the grasshopper best, and I never had any idea why. Watching it again, it's quite obvious.

Mr. Grasshopper is the British professor-ly type.

And I was, like, six.

That's not weird at all...

So, going down the list, I went to my brother's Court of Honor for Boy Scouts, and I was quite surprised with some familiar faces: kids who are in my english class, in my art class, who poke me in the head, or have a strange shoebox!Sirius/Minerva relationship with my bio teacher... By I also saw a familiar face not from school, but from fandom, by which I mean I saw ickle!Snape's incarnate in the Viking patrol. (Or was it the Liberty Bells...) But anyway, even my friend Amy, who is not a Potterhead, agreed with me. I was like, "OMG Amy, there's this kid that looks just like little!Snape!" "Where?" "I dunno, somewhere- He has shoulder-length, slightly greasy black hair, and a big nose, and is kinda pale and skinny." And immediately she says, "Oh, that's Eli!" ELI = SEV = WINNNNN~

Yesterday, Ms. Beekley took one look at the guys of the english class all grouped together for a project and said, "NO FRICKIN' WAY," as loud as she possibly could.

Tyler said he would play Professor Layton soon. I sort of prodded him in Psych class, talking about how it was very European and nice. Also, I told him about this review I read on the internet, and how it compared PL to the (second?) Die Hard movie, all, "Some of these might give Jeremy Irons a run for his money!" This image will be burned into my mind forever, of Layton jumping out of helicopters and running the Laytonmobile off the side of an overpass.

Did you know that Tyler owns a pet chinchilla, wants to live in Scandinavia, plans to be a dentist, and likes tea with those funky holiday sugar cookies that come out of a tube?

Speaking of sweets, I ended up making fandom cupcakes for my secret santa person, Kenny. There was a Rebel Alliance (Star Wars) cupcake, a spiderman, Battlestar Galactica, creepyface, star trek, Kid Flash, Green Lantern, two with the Chinese characters for Serenity, and three with "not" "a" "lie." It was pretty great. Unfortunately, Elise brought them back to me in homeroom all, "You forgot your cupcakes! =DDDDDDDD" And I was just like, "DDDDDDDD=" I was up until 11:30 finishing those... I left one for Ms. Colotti, though, the most lovable and adorable art teacher ever (also, probably the most gorgeous.) And then the Flash one was supposed to go to Mr. Muller, but he wasn't there, so I gave it to Mr. Mintz. To which he said, "Awww, you're so sweet!" and I was just like, " ILU =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD"

[info]lyricalecho SEZ THAR BE 2 MANY MENZ IN MAH LIEF~

Can't you tell she gave my a book of lolcatz? 'Cause she did. That, along with DR. HORRIBLE ON DVD OMG HOLY CRAP AAAAAAAAH!!!!! Also, I got Firefly!fic, which was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! She writes Kaylee sooooooo well, and River too, I was a little surprised. Jayne, ILU, and Simon was perfect. EEE! And Wash! He even had a triceratops Civil War! It was so cuuuuuuute! <3333333333333333 I mean, actually, I don't need to got into all caps an everything. Simply: Kaylee employs Wash to spread some lights and Christmas cheer, all while trying to get Simon under the mistletoe. There is no need for any other words. Except... Everyone was just so greeeeat...

*I, on the other hand, am covertly attempting Giles!fic.*

My dad watched Juno the other night, apparently, and says that Juno herself sort of reminded him of me. I can see how that would be a compliment in the sense of being mature and quirky, buuuuut...

I figured it out. I've always liked music with snazzy violin pieces, and I never was able to put my finger on what exactly the genre was. It there a snazzy-violin genre? No, but there's Celtic music. Ooooh, so that's why I like River's Jig so much. =DDDDDDD So now I have this song in my head and it's very lovely, really.

There's this Youtube video of 40 inspirational speeches in 2 minutes, all from different movies and stuff. It's awesome. I spied some Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Apollo 13, Orli Bloom in something, Robin Hood (the lovely one with Alan,) At World's End, Dead Poet's Society, Galaxy Quest (which also has Alan in it,) and something where Lockart is surprisingly not a Nazi for once.  It's very cool.

I could talk more about Youtube vids, but while I'm on the topic... It's true. Kenneth Branagh, who was Lockhart, has been a Nazi in every other thing I've seen him in. Most recently, I was watching TV when I saw a commercial for Valkirie, and was all "OMG WAZ THAT LOCKHART?" And it was. Speaking of which, I'm usually not into Nazi movies, but this one has the above mentioned, Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander... A little Davy/Beckett reunion there. And then I don't know what Eddie Izzard is doing, but he's there.

On the topic of movies? Boy In Striped Pajmas, with David Thewlis? It didn't get very good reviews. DDDDDDD= (To which I say, how bad can it be with Remus in it?)

I'll post some cupcake pictures later, but that's it for now.

Feeling Better

neil_hugs

Much, much better. My tests are over, and although I have a quiz tomorrow and two more tests on Monday, I'm not worried about those at all. (Although I have a Psych paper to do and that's unfortunate.) BUT ANYWAY~

[info]lyricalecho</lj> . You are not a dumbass, dearie. Quite frankly, you are probably on of the most brilliant, thoughtful non-asses ever. Because really. Most friends do not write multiverse!fics for their friends on the offhand. They do not risk catching the bus, and they do not run into one of the most feared teacher's room to print it out. Most don't. =DDDDDDDDI Have Been Gifted With The Greatest Multiverse Fic EVER To Be Written By Mortal Hands )

So. Although everything has been eclipsed by the multiverse!fic, there are still other snippets to declare upon my journal. For example: for future reference, "happy" in Spanish is not "happyoso," and the next time my brother draws something for his Spanish homework, I know that it is actually a worm in an apple and not an old guy with liver spots /global warming with a thermometer in Africa /a rotten tomato smoking pot.

I got this awesome Marvel!verse t-shirt. Best freaking thing ever. I mean really: if you can find a shirt with Wolverine on it, you've got yourself a gem.

I need to get my Sarah Palin costume together for tomorrow. How on earth am I going to do my hair? I know I'll be sitting there in front of the mirror tomorrow morning, pulling an Echo and be all "frigging frick on a biscuit."

I was humming Layton's theme song all day.

Some kid had a lightsaber on their iPhone. It was all "NEEEEROOOM. FWISH. NEEEEER-KEET!"

I couldn't fall asleep Tuesday night and I tried everything. I even took my Snape!figure (compliments[info]lyricalecho) off my bookcase and put him on my nightstand. And strangely... It worked. O_o This is not a good sign. Granted, I put him back in the morning, but... It's like... An entity in my room. A Snape-y presence. XDDDDDDDD ILU SPOOKY HALLOWEEN CRACK!BRAIN~ Hey. Hannah sleeps with Sirius sometimes, doesn't she?

Ok. Later. I need to talk about the Trailer, and I want to discuss NaNo, and I took some AWESOME pictures of my bedroom that reminded me that I want to post a pic of my fandom!bookcase.

That's all, since I need to do Palin-y things in the morning. G'night!

Some Stuff? =D

So here's the theory: Snape dies and is reincarnated into an adorable, blonde, spiky haired young man named Billy/Dr. Horrible.

I know, I know, it's come out of my mouth only a million times, but this is the first time it's coming out of my fingers. (And with this, [info]lyricalecho, my autumn friend? The only this you can find wrong with this is that I actually spent the time to do it. This isn't fangirling, it's scientific data!)

Look! A fancy-looking chart! )

So... That's coming along.

In other news, I have this history teacher with gorgeous blonde, curly hair. It glows, I swear. And even? When my mum went to Parents Night, she came back and was all, "OMG, he has Adonis hair!" And the conversation changed from the previous "How's Pretty-Boy?" to "How's Mr. Adonis?" BUT THE POINT IS: I went to class today, and FRICK HE HAD CHOPPED ALL HIS HAIR OFF. Seriously, he was like, bald; a super wicked short buzz cut. He doesn't even look blonde, nevermind have ringlets of gold growing out of his head! And me and just about every other girl in the class was like, DDDDDDDDDDDDD=

Psych test was a success, and I'm getting a guy at school to play Professor Layton, generally because he's good at that stuff (like LE and her enormous brain) and also because he reminds me of Layton himself, all proper and gentlemanly-like.

For the record, we had a surprise party for D. For some reason, he didn't start crying until he saw my grandmother, which was odd, but his two grandkids were all jumping up and down at the door for him, and it was just so cute. And also, he seemed so suprised that I had lied to him about the party. "You're such a good fibber!" Ah, yeah, thanks, D. Then there was someone who brought some Polish food, "kapushta" is my spelling of how it sounds, and my mum was saying how it sort of smelled "gassy." I found this far funnier than I should have.

And also my mum was there (Snape says, "obviously") along with all of her friends, making: Jeanne, Joyce, Janice, and Crazy Patti. GOD I LOVE THESE LADIES! They also remind me of my friends. I'm like my mum, all tiny and "uhhhh?" Crazy Patti is like LE, all smart and funny and stuff, Kristen is like Joyce, all "to hell with it and let's go blow shit up whooo!" and then Janice is kind of like Kaylee, all quiet and animal-loving and stuff. =D

Also, D's daughter sort of reminds me of Ms. Beekley. I don't think she likes me very much, and I don't know why. But there were lots of other nice people there! And also, my mum's friend Kathy: her dad was looking at the drawing I gave to D and we started talking about how so few kids have a steady hand nowadays, and handwriting and stuff. And I was just thinking, maybe I could do the lettering for comic books when I get older. I dunno, I know a couple of those guys from ComicCon, Stan Sakai in particular (he's really nice,) and I might have some connections there if, you know, I decided to do that.

Lastly, I was talking to my friend Katheryn in English, and we got talking about the HPB movie. Something about a screening for some Mugglenet peeps and I dunno. But anyway, she said that in Spinner's End, there was much less of Sev and Bella hatin' on each other, which is unfortunate, but then she's like touching his stuff and he yells at her and what? But anyway, I was reading the review (by Mugglenet's Eric Bowling, who I met at ComicCon) and he said something about a "tailored Snape-suit," and this, to me, is =DDDDDDDD But then he ruined it by mentioning nicer hair, and I'm like "Nooo, Sev isn't supposed to have nice hair! I want the OOtP hair back! Sev!hair, come baaaaack!"

Also, I saw that the WWW scene is in there. APPROVAL! =D but then, I also heard about a lack of Ginny/Harry, which is unfortunate. Then again, I hear that Lavender isn't too annoying (and actually sort of enjoyable) and I read that they did justice to the HBP plot! And again, I heard that Sev was fabulous in the Sectumsempra scene. (YAY DR. SNAPE~ You may disinfect the area, Dr. Snape! But I don't haaaave a tumor in my pancreas! LET'S DISMANTLE THE BOMB, KIDS! *reference!barf!*)

And just now, LE sent me the link to Felicia Day singing "Still Alive." You are amazing, Felicia, you really are.

I should be doing homework. Have I done any yet? Nooooo! So I'll get that done.

Two New Fandoms SQUEEEE!

Snaaaape~!

Wow. Ok, so, first Professor Layton. This is the greatest game ever, except the puzzles are too hard. Or maybe I'm just stupid. But really, I could do all the ones with the mazes, and the "Get the ball in the hole" ones, and the pitchers and stuff, but the math ones were just ridiculous. It got to the point where I would go up to my mum and be like, "Ok, you have three red cats and four black cats-" "Don't ask; I don't know." So...

No spoilers are the key to success! )

OK. So that's all the PL for now. IN THE MEANTIME I WATCHED THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF FIREFLY AND WOW>

I don't have anything witty for this, but Firefly is still sooooo cool. )

Aaaand... That's all I have right now. More later, I guess, but now I have to do my homework. *Do you think Professor Layton could count for math homework?* I might run it by my teacher. XD

OH, OH> LAYTON'S FIRST NAME IS HERSHEL. HOW FREAKING CUTE IS THAT?

All The Things To Do Today...

Snaaaape~!

Ok, so, I'm still sick, and it's Saturday, and[info]lyricalecho has given me a number of things to do, on top of all the other things I'm doing. So...

1. WATCH FIREFLY

2. Play Professor Layton - This I have already started, actually. AND? My brain. Hurts. So frigging bad. It's hard, people. But so cute! I <3 Layton sooo much. And you know what else? You know how the came turns on and they have the Level 5 credit, and it goes "Do-do-dwee, do-do-dwee!" (not Benny Goodman, guys...) But yeah, everytime I hear that, it makes me think of Link and Zelda, and the Hyrule theme/Sun's Song which has the same first two notes, except it goes, "Do-do-dwee, do-do-dwee, do-do-do dweeeeeeee!" *ahem* So anyway, I also found this puzzle in the Inn, and you have to make the outline of a woman. This would be much easier IF EVERYONE IN THIS TOWN DIDN'T LOOK SO WEIRD. I mean, really, it's like, oh, that's a woman. No? How about this? No? Argh. And also, poor scratched!Luke. He's just like, "Nuuuuuh? D,=" <3

3. Finish my Phoenix Wright doujinshi book.

4. Reread Eldest at some point, so I can read Brising'r. My friend Sam tried to give me spoilers, and I LIT UPON HER WITH THE RAGE OF A THOUSAND FLUFFY WHITE KITTIES. So, I'm happily spoiler-free.

5. Browse through Eclipse so I can read Breaking Dawn. I'm not a colossal fan of the series, hence only "browse."

6. Write my Royal fic and/or my Snape fic (the newer, shorter one.)

7. Look through Havemercy and get a list of the main scenes, for a poll on [info]thremedon

8. Do my history homework. Finished homework is a good thing.
