She's Kind Of Emotionally Constipated...

Last weekends started a little rough, but then I went costume shopping with my dad and it was nice. I'd say I'm about 85% done, since I still need the hat and some patterns on the poncho. I think some sewing is going to be in order. You know what else makes everything better? Food. (And seriously, Legal Seafood is the greatest restaurant ever. You get some swordfish, and some snap peas, and that yummy rice with the peppers in it... And pretty much they just give it to you like that, without all of that fancy shit you don't want. :3)

BGAWK GRANDPA )

So yeah.

"Why I Oughtta..."

SLAAAADE

This is why I like being at my dad's without Andrew. We get to do a whole mess of awesome things.

So basically, we watched Silent Hill, and then yesterday I saw the Hellboy 2 disc in the computer room, and I was all, "Oh, we should watch that" because *psht* it's Hellboy, geez. But he hadn't seen the first one, apparently, and he didn't have it, but George did, so we went to call him up. So we basically went on a joint shopping trip to Best Buy, because I guess he needed to get one of those fancy calculators for Caroline, and while we were there... :3 Well we also picked up the Dollhouse DVD and PROFESSOR LAYTON 2, OH WHAT NOW~

I know Echo's copy has a waiting list, so I figured I would get my own and not plug up the works with my procrastination. I'M SO PUMPED.

Phoenix Wright spoilers ahead! Abbey, this applies to pretty much you. )

A word to the wise: PLAY THE PHOENIX WRIGHT GAMES IN ORDER.

Anyway, I noticed something interesting. When talking to each other, half the things that come out of either George's or my dad's mouth are quotes from something, or some kind of fandom reference. They pretty much share the same fandoms, because if George finds something awesome, he shows it to my dad, and my dad thinks it's awesome, and vice versa. They've been best friends since elementary school, and met through some fandom-related happenstance. When they were younger they totally invaded each others houses and played whichever video game the other one didn't have, particularly some game called Arctic Fox that I'm most certainly not connecting to a Shadow Moses thing at all, and in that way trying to compare the two of them with Echo and I and what what are you talking about.

So we went over their house and Caroline had a friend over, who was apparently a Harry Potter fan. I always ask, "Who is your favorite character?" because that's how you determine what kind of HP fan a person is. Nearly everyone at camp was like, "Oh, I love Ron!" or "Hermione's really awesome!" Julia kind of shrugged and was like, "Well, I really like Remus Lupin..." And I gave her a giant high five and giggled like a maniac. Of course then she goes, "But sometimes I can't decide. I really like Snape too..." And then I couldn't give her a high five because I had passed out.

So she was a really big Owl City fan too, (Echo's already seen it, but here's their music video for Fireflies, which is the best song ever) and it seems that they're playing in Boston on the 18th. I don't know if I can go, but it would still be cool. =DDD

Apparently George has seen Silent Hill, and he was at a loss as to how I didn't find it the most frightening thing ever. So I explained the game parallels, and what they did, and at which parts I giggles, while George left is mouth open in awe, and his wife looked on disapprovingly. :3 He says, "But what about when the Pyramid guy ripped that lady's skin off!?" I said, "LOL  PYRAMIDHEAD DEFIES THE LAWS OF PHYSIOLOGY!" And then we started talking about Phantasmagoria, and don't get me started on that.

So we ordered Chinese food omnomnom and went downstairs to play old Three Stooges video games. Also, George proudly displayed his original Legend of Zelda game pack, and I was impressed as usual. (I mean, his house is like a video game museum or something; it's freaking awesome.) Also he has an old record player that's just amazing and gorgeous, and if I ever win the lottery I am going to find one somewhere and buy it.

After that, we watched this comedian act that was pretty funny, even though I fell asleep, per the usual. :3

So anyway, I finished up a bunch of my homework, so I can watch Hellboy with my dad and play PROFESSOR LAYTON OMG. I've started it, but only through the first few puzzles. But awww, emo!Layton, with his hat over his eyes and aw Layton do you need a Luke!hug~~~?

Edit: This is what happens when we visit George. I end up with loads and loads of tags. X3

The Evils of Facebook

Halloween!Giles
I did a bad thing. A terrible, horrible thing. I went and actually did something with my facebook. I know, I know, I'm sorry! But it's a scary place. It's full of people posting pictures of themselves like, "HAY LOOKIT MEEEE~" and then commenting with spelling that would insult the intelligence of a five year-old. Furthermore, and I quote Mum here, "Facebook is like STDs." And it's true! I have Masco friends who are friends with St. Mary's friends who are friends with Georgetown friends... HOW DO THESE PEOPLE KNOW EACH OTHER? And then even further, it's 11:00, and people are almost instantly accepting my friend requests. It's like, why exactly is everyone I know on this website at such a late hour? IDK. But the thing is, I'm still looking at it, and looking for people I know. Oh. And Mum also says it's like a car wreck. It's horrible, but you're drawn to it, and you just can't help it.

Oh, and another thing? I was looking through Rachel's friends page, and it turns out that Snapekid has a facebook too. XDDD (And he has over 200 friends!) Why does that make me laugh so hard?

Well, actually, that doesn't make me laugh as hard as this other thing Mum said. She made me promise not to post this, but I am. She realized that in regards to Snapekid's house, she had the wrong one, and it's not purple-y-pink, its a different house that's actually bubblegum pink. But anyway, she says, "I was just thinking... Snapekid's pink house is kinda like the equivalent to Snape's grey underwear, don't you think?" MUM FTW~ XDDDDDDD OW WAIT MY BRAIN OW

ANYWAY. On a whole other note, I listened to the released music for Kenji and I got that little leaping feeling in my chest, followed by incessant squealing. JAKE'S THEME MADE ME WANT TO CRY WITH JOY~ And Blue Badger of course, and Miiiiiiles~ (And I like the new Pursuit theme, even though it's sorta different.) It's like... I feel almost proud of the fandom.

I took pics of the fandomcase, finally, so those should be up soon. =DDD

And after thinking about it, I reeeeally want to write a Snape/Silent Hill crossover fic. It would be really interesting, I think, but I have to finish my other projects first (like the Royal fic! Though, speaking of that, I'm going to give [info]khoany Havemercy to read, so maybe that will inspire me.)

I just had this interesting exchange with Mum; she look at the news online, and she watches the D-Day ceremony and sees the thing on the sidebar: "ABC NEWS LIVE." So, "Is it really live?" she asks. And without thinking, I say, "Well, it was live when they taped it." This causes an awkward pause as we think about this. Oddly enough, things like this happen alot. (EDIT: She looked at my title quick, and asked, "Who is the Elvis of facebook?)

MAH INNAR DEEMUNZ, LET ME SHOW U THEM

  • Apr. 6th, 2009 at 4:41 PM
HOOOOOOUSE~

The title, of course, is referring to the essay that Beeks made us write. "Write about someone you know who had something really horrible happen to them, that changed their life and made them miserable. Don't write about anything happy. Make it as personal and as painful to write as you can. Make sure to angst as you write it."

I made something up.

I finished Portal this weekend, and it has most certainly been added to my Top 3 Games list, which now includes Portal, Phoenix Wright, and Legend of Zelda: TP, in no particular order. But honestly, I love GLaDOS more than I should. "That thing is probably a raw sewage containment unit. So just go ahead and rub your face all over it." Also, I'm going to start saying, "NO WAI." Aaaand... Oh. The Curiosity Cube is my absolute favorite, even more than the turrets. "Who are you? What is that? Ooh, what's in here? Hey, look at that thing! No, the other thing! Ooh, that thing has numbers on it! Hey, you're that lady from the test! HI! Where are you going? Eeew! What's wrong with your legs!? Do you smell something burning?"

And unfortunately, I actually quoted the snarky computer  in reference to my dad, saying, "Helloooooo~? THAT'S YOU. THAT'S HOW DUMB YOU SOUND." Looking back, that was nooooot the smartest thing to do. Then again, he also didn't take it seriously, "so that's funny too."

There are so many things about the latest Dollhouse episode, that I would hardly bother to write them all down here. Simply: Sierra/Victor FTW. November breaks my heart. Sierra's backstory is also really awful, though, and I mean that in the sense that it's well-written, just really, really horrible. Echo/Caroline is awesome, but still not my favorite, even though the scene with Topher was amazing (as[info]lyricalecho so enthusiastically points out.) Paul is sexy but insane. Unless that's just his dreams. THOSE ARE TOTALLY CRACK!DREAMS, HE'S NOT CRAZY. (And [lyrical]Echo, dear, I told you he had a thing for Caroline in particular.) But why don't I like that? It just seems wrong. Lastly, Topher, being afraid of the dark, and I honestly can't help but see him as just "the science guy," like maybe [lyrical]Echo when she grows up to be a supervillain.

Oh, hey, I was English today and I as was dumping my stuff on the back counter, I heard two generally non-dorky girls (though not quite the sporty/jock type) say something along the lines of, "Oh, yeah, I can't believe Angel came back and apologized!" And I figured since there is a guy in my grade named as such, I should ignore it. But then Molly was like, "Oh, man! Buffy was great in that scene!" After which I homed in and was all, "Uh... What are you talking about?" They muttered an ashamed, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and I was like, "OMG YOU GUYS
ARE MY NEW FAVORITE PEOPLE." It was pretty awesome, and since they're only a little ahead of me, we would have fangirled more, but then Beeks came in. Frickety frick on a buscuit.

Ok, so it turns out Eli!Snape has an art class at the same time, as me, but across the hall. Since my class gets out earlier, and I sometimes poke in to say hi to Ms. Colotti, I ended up seeing him in there. They're doing the horrible 'clay head' project, and Eli!Snape was holding his up to the light, and I've never seen a kid look at his art so thoughtfully (with the contemplative hand-to-his-chin gesture and everything.) This spawned many mental images of artistic!Snape, all of which made me giggle inside all the way down to lunch. It also made me think of that Bones clip I saw of Booth with his little clay horse? Was that what it was? I think so. XD *AWW*

I did my audition for All Together Now, and I sang Penny's Song. It went something like, "-and every day of rain brings water flowing to things growing in the gr-OW OW OH GOD MY VOICE CRACKED OW-nd~" It was sort of painful, but at least I can't get cut. XD

I have other things to discuss later, but I don't have time at the moment. (Stupid Essex County Project I hate you.)

(And BTW? So, there wasn't an April Fool's post. April Fools! =DDDDD)

Buffy Stuff, Whoooo!

  • Mar. 1st, 2009 at 7:32 PM
Halloween!Giles

I am not going to continue on to make a 'Buff Stuff' joke, because that's lame. LAME-O, GUYZ. )

On another note, I love how I'm sitting here tied up in electrical cords and the phone rings, and I have to get up to answer it because my brother is too busy juggling clementines.

And oh, hey, SCHOOL'S CLOSED TOMORROW, I guess that means I can watch NPH ON ELLEN AT NINE~ *squeeeeee!*

Snaaaape~!
Oh God, I've been sick. The flu, I think, but at least we have a snow day today so I can rest. But yesterday sucked. The night before I couldn't sleep at all, and even though I went to the doctors the next day, I was just miserable. I would have preferred school.

But I'm better today, so I finally got around to getting a dress pic up here. Aaaand... Voila!

Pictures under the cut! )

So yeah, that's what the semi dress looks like. It was either Abby or Becca that took one look at it and said, "OMG, you look just like River!" To which I paused and said, "Um... Is that a good thing?" And then we went on this whole thing about how I technically needed a big slit up the side, and Becca offered to make one and was was just like, "Uuuuh, no."

In the Hellboy section of last post, I forgot to point something out. Remember Howdy Doody from the beginning? Remember Howdy Doody from D's birthday card? I love how they were trying to make a point that it was a long time ago, and I'd imagine D would just be like, "DDDDDD=" To be honest, I don't know which was scarier, Hellboy or Howdy Doody.

---APOLLO JUSTICE SPOILERS BELOW----

Ok, so in French we had vocab words and one of them was 'mirror' or 'le miroir.' If we were to pretend it was feminine, we might even have 'Lamiroir,' thereby assuming that Apollo looks very much like his mother. I dunno, but if I can get a squeal out of French class, it's worth posting.

(End of spoilers! Just, I hate spoiler-y things; getting spoiled is my pet peeve. XD)

I saw Inkheart with [info]lyricalecho on Monday, before I got all sick. It was soooo good. Mo was adorable, and Farid looked just like this guy I had in my art class last year, and Fenoglio all, "Look, it's Basta! =D" and Dustfinger. We all giggled a little during his shirtless scene, especially Echo's sister who noted, "Heehee, he's buff."

Echo also pointed out that Capricorn has joined the ranks of Bald-Villains-I-Can't-Bring-Myself-To-Respect. It's true, though, with his duct tape and being such a lying liar... I'm not sure if he's even sillier than The Master, what with his, "*cue earthquake* I'LL DESTROY THE WORLD!!! ...Huh. What do you think that was, a 5.1?"

*Heehee, Jeff Dunham avatars!*

So, night before last I was too sick to sleep, so I ended up rereading the first few chapters of Inkspell. The movie messed me up a little bit, though, 'cause I was like, "Whoa, Dustfinger isn't in the Inkworld. Whoa, Basta and Mortola are alive. Whoa, Farid's not living with them. Whoa, Darius is there. Whoa, Resa can't talk."

Of course, I tried to go to sleep after that, and I couldn't. So, you know what happens when you want to sleep but can't: you get a plot bunny. And I figured, "Heck, I can't go to school tomorrow anyway!" So I got up and blasted out 1.6k of Snilly goodness. Currently, it's nearly 4k. I mean, it's not Snilly, per se. It's more like Sev being Lily's go-to guy friend, and Sev is just sort of wistful and quiet about how he feels. It's also a summertime thing, so they're mostly just hanging out and being giggly and best buddy-like. I might post it when I'm done. If nothing else, I need to start a new Fanfiction.net account. Start fresh and all. Giley!fic can go up there too, and the Royal!fic if I'm ever moved to finish that. And of course, my Life's Work, whenever that's gorram done with.

Look, it's shorter!
firefly

I'm skipping the intro, and going straight to the biggest fangiggle I've had in months. About five minutes ago, I found out who was cast as the caterpillar in the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland. Ready?

ALAN FRICKING RICKMAN. AS THE GORRAM CATERPILLAR. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR FIVE SECONDS. OMFGASDFGHJKL; TIM BURTON STOP BEING SO AMAZING ARGH AASDFGHJKLJHGFDSDFGHJKLKJHGFDFGH~

*sigh* Ok. So, Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter, this I knew. Helena Bonham Carter is the Red Queen; I would only assume she was in it. And then you know who is the White Queen is? Anne Hathaway. That was sort of a surprise; I'm glad, though. I like her alot, and she hasn't been in anything that great recently. SO. I just wondered... Is Alan maybe becoming a part of the Tim Burton crowd? OOOOOOOH THAT WOULD BE SO GREAT~

BUGMAN!ALAN ON CRACK!

So. *giggle* Ok, I'm good now. Anyway, while I'm on the topic of Tim Burton, I finally saw Sweeny Todd. At Kenny's house, actually, at the end of Christmas vacation. Surprisingly, I didn't geek out as much as I thought I would: only during Alan's two singing bits. I mean, I didn't dislike it by any means. I guess Alan was just so evil, and creepy rather than snarky. Come on, he was creepy, and totally sketchy/stalker-like/child-molester. BUT I did love By the Sea; I couldn't help but think of the [info]buttfacemakani pic with Bella and Voldie... Also, we told Erica that NPH played Toby once, and so she kept screaming that he was going to die, and freaking out every time he showed up, and we were just like, "THAT'S NOT NPH, DEARIE." Also, Borat makes me laugh. Now back to the Misadventures of Sev and Wally!

Newsflash! Snape wants to be the pope!

Really. But anyway, my mum has since finished it. I did read this one little part where Waleran came up with this battle plan, and William was all, "YEAH, LET'S GO SLAUGHTER SOME PEOPLE!" and Wally was just like, "Erm... You can... You know... Go without me. Please." Oh, also? I did find a bit that mentioned how he hardly eats anything. And I'm like, 'Heh. I knew that was totally in-character.' But he really was evil, whereas Sev is not, so you know.  He ended up having something to do with this plot that killed some guy, and something about dethroning the king, and apparently it was really easy to guess what it was.

You know what kind of drove me nuts, though? The way this guy writes dialogue is weird. It's like it goes, "Waleran said: 'Wow, why am I a snarky, evil bishop and not a snarky, not-really-evil professor?'" It's really funky with the colon and all.

I've since added a cut for all the other stuff, since it was too long and annoying. Still, there are Hellboy spoilers. )

I've been singing Sound of Music, like, a ton. Do you think we could give Snape a guitar and make him sing Eidelweiss? We already know from Sweeny that he can sing... (XDDDDDDDDD SORRY: THIS IS HOW I THINK~)

I've added House and Dr. Chase to my List, because, you know, they're cool. They aren't very high up, but still.

You know you're turning into Echo's little sister when people from the Constitutional Convention are showing up on your List. I was studying for my history midterm, and I found this blurb about James Madison. Basically, he was like a little shoebox!Remus. You know, he was always reading, and he was sort of quiet and cute and good at being the research-guy and... Well, Remus-y. I can just see it: "Um... Mr. Washington, sir? I was reading last night, and I found this really interesting chapter about Ancient Rome, and it gave me a good idea, but it might not be so good, I'm not sure-" And Ben Franklin all, "Out with it, boy!" "Right! Yes, so I was thinking..." Hee. <3

On the same page, I was still studying in art, and I was talking about this one thing with my friend Emily. Basically, during the war between France and Britain, this guy called Citizen Genet was stirring up the Americans to join the French. And Washington was all, "Hey, we're not getting involved here." So Genet set up this whole meeting and basically dumped on Washington. Emily said, "So he said to Washington, 'So go away, or we shall be forced to taunt you a second time!'"

Of course, Mr. Hanchett noted that Genet was then "forcibly removed from the country" which Ellie translated to "drop-kicked across the pond."

I want to point something out here. Trauma Center? Back when we were playing it at the Fantastic Five sleepover, we looked up some sprites and were horrified to see the similarities between our/my favorite Kassal brother and a certain lavender-suited defense attorney...

That is frightening.

I'll be back later with some updates on the Snapecast episode that I've only just started listening to, and also the dress picture. Hopefully I won't keep waiting so long to do these posts, so I can make them shorter and more manageable!

I've since added a cut for all the other stuff, since it was too long and annoying. Still, there are Hellboy spoilers. )

New Year's Misc.

  • Jan. 6th, 2009 at 4:48 PM
neil_hugs

Ok. First post of the new year! Also, there is a Snow Day! Whooo!!!1! So, you know, I can actually finish this after [not] working on this for two days. Lots of things to say! Or... Remarkably less than I thought.

Buffy Spoilers Here~ )

So what else? We had a Fantastic Four sleepover (by which I mean me, Echo, and our two friends from days of yore.) Stayed up 'till five, but I passed out at four. There was some Trace Memory-age, too (along with some Bill jokes.)

Which brings me to this: Mystery/adventure games for the DS are highly underrated. The DS has spawned some of my favorite games. Phoenix Wright, of course, and the ever-lovely-and-thrilling-and-cute-and-plot-twist-y Trace Memory. Hotel Dusk: Room 213 was like some wonderful film noir (though I think Echo still has my copy?) and then, dear Professor Layton, of course. I do love my DS.

Speaking of PL, I saw the Final Time Journey trailer and WHOA LAYTON IN A SWORDFIGHT WHY SO AWESOME? And Luke jumping on the couch, and Layton and his tea and WHEN DOES THE SECOND ONE COME OUT, GORRAMIT? In other PL news, there's supposed to be a PL movie in the works. It sounds fabulous, and then I hear it's live action. Why would you want live action when you have such beautiful European-like artwork to work with? *sigh* At least they can make Layton hot... *no one said that*

Also, I forgot to mention another DS game. Trauma Center, anyone? [info]zarla should be so pleased with herself, what with having her Broken Glass Mix being sung by Echo and I over and over. (It can be found here, BTW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBlukUptk18) "And there's no reason why, when you cut people open, they're all funky colors, all inside, all color-coded, OH YEAH!

Also interesting is how (we were playing UtK2) the big bad guys is like a little von Karma, what with the "von," and his rant about "natural selection" and "the perfect human" and being the crappiest father ever. And the organization? Apparently we could have another one: B.U.M.M.E.R. (Was this funnier at three o'clock in the morning?) Yeah, it was. Although, when you have to use your tools to get out of the cell? Kaylee, I think it was, was all, "Hey, why don't we just use the laser to blast out of here?" And Echo stops and thinks, and says, "Well it's more of a delicate laser." "Yeah," I say, "because you wouldn't be blasting people's organs with massive lasers." Kristen nods and says, "Yeah. So it's more of and 'ow' laser." To which we then pictured Chase, all "HEY DEREK" *zap* "CHASE, CUT THAT OUT!" *bzzt*

Then there was some joke about Erika's friend accidentally snorting bath soap up her nose...

Hey, here's something. iTunes is a moron. I'm not talking about this pricing thing; I mean the updated software. It's obviously geared toward people who buy entire albums, rather than those who just buy a song here or there. I'm one of the latter. So, where as before I could have all my songs in alphabetical order, now it can only be organized by album or artist, so that my Library looks like someone ate it, didn't like the weird mix of flavors, and then barfed it back onto my screen. It bums me out.

I had this dream last night, and I swear- God strike me down if I'm lying- Snape was on a unicorn. Swear to God. I just remember... He was kinda like, "Eh?" And I was kinda like, "Eh!?" But yeah, I also had a dream where the Tiny Titans were crewing Serenity, and I guess the Alliance caught us, and everyone was all hiding and fighting, and there was some Salem museum thing going on, and I was all, "hey, I know where that is!" even though I was in the mindset of my main OC, and there was some secret attic with a secret trunk, and there were disguises and secret passageways; and then there was the museum and Giles was there and there was lots of beige marble and dinosaurs? And then I went back to sleep and there was this dream with SSBros. but there were loads of playable characters, and I was kinda inside, and Raven was there, and then there were some aliens and they were making a movie? But then they made me play this game that was kinda like Tetris but with fruit? And I was ok at it, but then Snape showed up and was better, and that was the unicorn part, and there was something about this desktop background I'm working on and I was all, "Oh, that looks good!" And then... Um... I think I woke up again.

OH. Maybe the museum thing was in the dream I had night before last. 'Cause that one also had Snape briefly, but it was mainly Star Trek TNG characters, but they were cowboys, and someone was chasing me, and I was all, "HALP, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!" And they were all, "Hey, how do you know us!" And then there was something about a wagon and going over jumps and it was nighttime and there were torches, and...

Ironically, I've done virtually no fandoming for a few days prior to these.

Ok, so New Year's Days I watched two movies. First, I watched Stardust with my mum, which I never realized was so long! It's like, almost three hours! But that really is a wonderful movie, with Arthur!Goat and stuff. He was my Mum's favorite character I guess, which was funny; but she liked Shakespeare too, all, "I was thinking, 'waxing poet!' and my men are thinking 'SHAKE! SPEAR!' I love things like that." Also she liked the ghosts, but how can you not? Eee, and I don't think I need to reiterate how much I like Septimus.

Later, we ended up watching Wall E. God, I love this movie. Out of all the Pixar films, it's really between this one and Finding Nemo, even if I really do like Toy Story (which, BTW, Echo pointed out that Joss did the screenplay! =DDDDDDD) But yeah, it was just soooo cute, and... Very artfully done. Of course, no matter how deep and artsy, it's still Disney. So my mum points out, "But, if they can't even get out of their chairs, why did I see a bunch a babies sitting around?" "Because it's Disney, mum. The stork brought them." But anyway, I just love Wall E and all his little treasures, and Eve being all "Uuuuh?" and then Wall E being all dorky in space, and Mo. How can you not love Mo?

So... I think that's it. I'll have a post in a couple of days for a certain event... :3

EDIT: Hey, I was on [info]professorlayton</lj> and found this amazing lot of PL art. WHY IS THIS FANDOM SO CUTE!? http://community.livejournal.com/professorlayton/116419.html

Feeling Better

  • Oct. 30th, 2008 at 8:31 PM
neil_hugs

Much, much better. My tests are over, and although I have a quiz tomorrow and two more tests on Monday, I'm not worried about those at all. (Although I have a Psych paper to do and that's unfortunate.) BUT ANYWAY~

[info]lyricalecho</lj> . You are not a dumbass, dearie. Quite frankly, you are probably on of the most brilliant, thoughtful non-asses ever. Because really. Most friends do not write multiverse!fics for their friends on the offhand. They do not risk catching the bus, and they do not run into one of the most feared teacher's room to print it out. Most don't. =DDDDDDDDI Have Been Gifted With The Greatest Multiverse Fic EVER To Be Written By Mortal Hands )

So. Although everything has been eclipsed by the multiverse!fic, there are still other snippets to declare upon my journal. For example: for future reference, "happy" in Spanish is not "happyoso," and the next time my brother draws something for his Spanish homework, I know that it is actually a worm in an apple and not an old guy with liver spots /global warming with a thermometer in Africa /a rotten tomato smoking pot.

I got this awesome Marvel!verse t-shirt. Best freaking thing ever. I mean really: if you can find a shirt with Wolverine on it, you've got yourself a gem.

I need to get my Sarah Palin costume together for tomorrow. How on earth am I going to do my hair? I know I'll be sitting there in front of the mirror tomorrow morning, pulling an Echo and be all "frigging frick on a biscuit."

I was humming Layton's theme song all day.

Some kid had a lightsaber on their iPhone. It was all "NEEEEROOOM. FWISH. NEEEEER-KEET!"

I couldn't fall asleep Tuesday night and I tried everything. I even took my Snape!figure (compliments[info]lyricalecho) off my bookcase and put him on my nightstand. And strangely... It worked. O_o This is not a good sign. Granted, I put him back in the morning, but... It's like... An entity in my room. A Snape-y presence. XDDDDDDDD ILU SPOOKY HALLOWEEN CRACK!BRAIN~ Hey. Hannah sleeps with Sirius sometimes, doesn't she?

Ok. Later. I need to talk about the Trailer, and I want to discuss NaNo, and I took some AWESOME pictures of my bedroom that reminded me that I want to post a pic of my fandom!bookcase.

That's all, since I need to do Palin-y things in the morning. G'night!

All The Things To Do Today...

  • Sep. 27th, 2008 at 11:15 AM
Snaaaape~!

Ok, so, I'm still sick, and it's Saturday, and[info]lyricalecho has given me a number of things to do, on top of all the other things I'm doing. So...

1. WATCH FIREFLY

2. Play Professor Layton - This I have already started, actually. AND? My brain. Hurts. So frigging bad. It's hard, people. But so cute! I <3 Layton sooo much. And you know what else? You know how the came turns on and they have the Level 5 credit, and it goes "Do-do-dwee, do-do-dwee!" (not Benny Goodman, guys...) But yeah, everytime I hear that, it makes me think of Link and Zelda, and the Hyrule theme/Sun's Song which has the same first two notes, except it goes, "Do-do-dwee, do-do-dwee, do-do-do dweeeeeeee!" *ahem* So anyway, I also found this puzzle in the Inn, and you have to make the outline of a woman. This would be much easier IF EVERYONE IN THIS TOWN DIDN'T LOOK SO WEIRD. I mean, really, it's like, oh, that's a woman. No? How about this? No? Argh. And also, poor scratched!Luke. He's just like, "Nuuuuuh? D,=" <3

3. Finish my Phoenix Wright doujinshi book.

4. Reread Eldest at some point, so I can read Brising'r. My friend Sam tried to give me spoilers, and I LIT UPON HER WITH THE RAGE OF A THOUSAND FLUFFY WHITE KITTIES. So, I'm happily spoiler-free.

5. Browse through Eclipse so I can read Breaking Dawn. I'm not a colossal fan of the series, hence only "browse."

6. Write my Royal fic and/or my Snape fic (the newer, shorter one.)

7. Look through Havemercy and get a list of the main scenes, for a poll on [info]thremedon

8. Do my history homework. Finished homework is a good thing.

In Phoenix Wright news: You know what makes a morning awesome? Having your best friend run up to you in the hall and present (OBJECTION!) you with a Yahoo!Messenger doodle of Kristoph Gavin doing creepyface ]:< on a rainbow unicorn. Or something like that.

Also presented to me was Professor Layton and the Curious Village, which I will play, and Havemercy, co-written by LJ's own[info]ladyjaida who is also responsible for the ever near-and-dear Shoebox fic. Potterheads: if you haven't read Shoebox, than you must. There's dear Remus being unbearably adorable, and Peter bing a dork, (:B) and Siruis being -well, Sirius- and James being all lovesick over Lily and awww... (It iiiis kind of a bummer when they pick on Severus, but that's just me being fangirly, I swear.) Also, Benny Goodman fans are awesome.
More on this later. =D

In sandwich news: I've named my own. You know that kind of sandwich that is kind of on a sub roll, but it's kinda small and it has the meat and cheese and lettuce sticking out? I call it a hobohoagie. Hobo. Hoagie. Hobohoagie. I don't know, it just kind of strikes me as something you'd see some guy on a park bench eating. (Also, this may or may not have been inspired by Hobo!Nick/Naruhobo, but I can't really say.) Random as this may be, I only came up with this after seeing a guy in my English class magically pull one out of thin air and start mauling it.

Creepyface, rainbows, unicorns, hobos... My work here is done.
